Windows Workflow Foundation, is the new framework for building workflow-enabled applications. It consists of a programming model, a full-blown workflow engine, and developer tools for building custom workflow solutions. Windows Workflow Foundation is supported by a companion set of extensions to Visual Studion 2008. The .NET Framework 3.0 "workflow runtime" provides common facilities for running and managing the workflows and can be hosted in any CLR application from a Windows Service to a Windows Form Application to a Web Application.
